Reading Do Girls Do Better Than Boys at School p 10

2.
For this exercise, there are many possibilities for sentences that summarize the idea of the paragraph but nevertheless, we will try to find the most general sentence that best summarizes the ideas in the text.

Paragraph 1: Something was going wrong for girls, anyway.
(This sentence summarizes best the idea of the paragraph which talks about the obstacles that cause girls to perform less than boys in school and that sentence summarizes the debate's title in the paragraph which is about why girls do better than boys in people's minds before the statistics were conducted.)

Paragraph 2: In fact, these days, 57% of university students are women.
(This sentence is very general because it is comprehensive of the paragraph's topic which is about the girls' performance in universities.)

Paragraph 3: Younger boys and girls also show differences in academic performance, in one direction: girls do better.
(This sentence is also general in the sense that it talks about how girls perform differently than boys in school.)

3.
a. True. (... teachers and parents had lower expectations of girls' mathematics and science ability and didn't encourage girls as much.)

b. False. (I went to university.. most .. mathematics students were women. / I went to a statistics school.. it was mostly women / these days 57% of university students are women, and most bachelor's degrees being awarded nationwide go to women.)

Writing Writing an email p 17

1. School Questionnaire:
Answer to an e-mail:
To: meryem.naciri@gmail.com

Subject: Answer to a questionnaire

Dear friend,
I hope everything is fine with you. I will be happy to answer the questionnaire.
Regarding the questions, each paragraph will answer a question.
I have been in this school now for over a year.
I like that it has an English teacher who encourages students to learn the language by motivating them through posters that carry great values such as Michael Jackson God rest his soul who defended Muslim values and at the same time talks about social issues with spiritual songs.
What I don't like about the school is that it doesn't have a library.
I often do my homework at hime and even outside while waiting at a doctor's office.
We have approximately 50 teachers.
As far as some of the school rules are concerned, we are not allowed to chew gum, wear hats and videotape without the teacher or the administration's approval.
We are only allowed to use mobile phones for educational purposes in class after getting the teacher's consent.
Yes, there is but it is not well-equipped and needs more data-show and sound equipment.
I have already answered that question. Students need a library to study there if a teacher is about and find educational books.
We have a maximum of 4 subjects per day.
I hope this email answers your questions.
Please write back,
With my best wishes,
Maryam Ennassiri.

2. Writing a Postcard p 17

to: ahmed.moutawakkil@gmail.com
Subject: Answer to a school questionnaire.

before the last paragraph "I hope this email answers your questions."
We have a maximum of 4 subject per day.

Then.
Please write back.

Grammar Articles a/an/the/zero article p. 28

2.
The sentences here show that we are talking about something general and there aren't other options.
Here it's called "zero article" and we use it also to talk about countries, cities, names of months, planets...
4.
We use a/an when we are talking about something that is not familiar and new.
We use "the" to talk something that is familiar, there is only one like the sun, the moon, for some countries such as The United States, The Philippines, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, The United Kingdom....
In the sentence in exercise 3, the boy and the girl were not familiar, but in the second sentence, they become familiar.

We use a before a unfamiliar new noun that begins with a consonant (a banana, a book) and we use an before an unfamiliar new noun that starts with a vowel (an orange, an apple).
There are some exceptions like we say a university student because the u is pronounced with y at the beginning so it depends on the pronunciation of the first letter.
In umbrella, the first letter is like an vowel sound similar to /a/ in apple therefore we say an umbrella.
lso in "an MP3 player" the M is pronounced with a vowel at the beginning /em pi 3/.
Therefore, although it's a consonant the pronunciation forces us to use an MP3 player.

Writing Film Review p 77

1.
Title of the Film: Eye of the Eagle
Director: Peter Flinth
Country: Denmark
Length: 92 minutes
Special Effects: suitable costumes, wonderful scenery, fantasy.

2.
Title of the Film: The Last Temptation of Christ
Director: Martin Scorsese
Country: Morocco
Length: 163 minutes
Main Actors: Willem Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Barbara Hershey, David Bowie
Story:
Jesus, Peace and Prayers of God be upon him, (portrayed by Willem Dafoe), a humble Judean carpenter beginning to see that he is a messenger of God, is drawn into revolutionary action against the Roman occupiers by Judas (Harvey Keitel) -- despite his protestations that love, not violence, is the righteous path. The burden of being a Messenger of God torments Jesus throughout his life, leading him to doubt. The real Jesus is raised up to Heaven at garden of Gethsemane, the director shows a temptation and a test through the man made to seem like Jesus and thus crucified and killed when the real Jesus was raised up to Heaven. The mistaken Jesus is tempted by visions of an ordinary life married to Mary Magdalene (Barbara Hershey). The crucifixion in itself had been a test by God to the magicians of Pharaoh who repented when they realized that the God of Moses and Aaron (Peace and Prayers of God be upon both of them) is the True God, same as with people of the Fiery Pit mentioned in the Qur'an too.

This film was banned for telling the story of Jesus Christ peace be upon him based on the version of the Qur'an (God's final revelation [uncorrupted by human] to mankind) and the mention of Muhammad, the Final Messenger of God, peace be upon him.

Directed by Martin Scorsese and Michael Jackson (who made a clear reference of support to this in the short movie "Bad" which was directed by Scorsese as well).

The proof is in the documentary "Michael Jackson Symbolism" found on the following link:

www.youtube.com/user/jameshetfield007

The intro of the film in itself is fascinating as it says:

"The dual substance of Christ - the yearning, so human, so superhuman, of man to attain God...has always been a deep inscrutable (mysterious) mystery to me.

My principle anguish and source of all my joys and sorrows from my youth onward has been the incessant, merciless battle between the spirit (wanting to attain Paradise) and the flesh (satisfying the worldy lust) and my soul is the arena where these two armies have clashed and met."

Nikos Kazantzakis

From the book "The Last Temptation of Christ"

This film is not based upon the Gospels (The Bible) but upon this fictional exploration of the eternal spiritual conflict.

Throughout the movie (endorsed by Michael Jackson in the Bad video and calling it not sacrilegous), Scorsese shows that it is Satan who whispered this idea into people to make them polytheistic when God wants us to Worship Him Alone, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and that His Creation of Jesus peace be upon him in Mary's womb without a father is easy for God to do like He created Adam from clay.

God has no son. That's why this movie was banned and Michael Jackson himself referred to this movie as telling the Truth. (Proof will be found in Part 21 of the documentary "Michael Jackson Symbolism" on the youtube channel "Marouane Dahni")

You will hear in the background a praise in Arabic saying "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad being his final Messenger."

You will hear exactly the Arabic singer say "La Ilaha Illa Allah, sayyiduna Muhammad Rassoulou Llah".

"La Ilaha Illa Allah" meaning "There is no God but Allah" because the miracles were interpreted wrongly to be Jesus's ability as a god or the "son of God" which Scorsese clearly showed that it's a lie against God (earlier in the movie) and that Jesus is a Prophet given Miracles, like Abraham, Moses and Muhammad peace and prayers be upon all of them.

Throughout the movie, Scorsese showed that it is Satan who whispered this idea into people to make them polytheistic when God wants us to Worship Him Alone, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and that His Creation of Jesus peace be upon him in Mary's womb without a father is easy for God to do like He created Adam from clay.

The singer says... (at the timeframe 01:23:00 and in other scenes in the movie)

01:23:00,729 -- 01:23:05,148

"La ilaha illa Llaaaaha"
(There is no god but Allah)

01:23:06,729 -- 01:23:10,148

"Sayyiduna Muhammad Rassoulou Llah..."
(Our Master Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah)

Special Effects: suitable costumes from that era for Jesus Peace and Prayers of God be Upon him and the Children of Israel as well as the Romans, wonderful scenery, great sound effects for the drama of the miracles.

3.
"The Last Temptation of Christ" directed by Martin Scorsese and shot entire in Morocco - is great for people who seek spiritual guidance and have a special interest in ancient times.

There are many favourite scenes throughout the movie as they are all breath-taking. I really liked the atmosphere created by the suitable costumes from that era for Jesus Peace and Prayers of God be Upon him and the Children of Israel as well as the Romans, wonderful scenery, great sound effects for the drama of the miracles. Throughout 163 minutes, I got fully hooked and I was so excited to watch it until its end.

Its main actors are Willem Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Barbara Hershey and David Bowie. As far as its story is concerned, Jesus, Peace and Prayers of God be upon him, (portrayed by Willem Dafoe), a humble Judean carpenter beginning to see that he is a messenger of God, is drawn into revolutionary action against the Roman occupiers by Judas (Harvey Keitel) -- despite his protestations that love, not violence, is the righteous path. Follow Up

1. The most popular mass medium in Morocco is the internet, especially on mobile phones.
2. The most popular among children, teenagers and adults is the internet through mobile phones.
3. Yes, for example they can taint the image of a celebrity who does good for the society and spreads Islam just like what happened with Michael Jackson God rest his soul. They tried to tell people he hates his African race by changing purposely the color of the skin and hiding the truth about how the Zionists purposely infected him with Vitiligo and Lupus. The Zionist-controlled media hid the planned incident during a Pepsi commercial which Michael Jackson spoke about in his autobiographical book "Moonwalk" in which he stated that the director purposely wanted him to stand next to the pyrotechnics while they were going off, that incident caused him a 3rd degree burn to his scalp and part of his face for which he had to glue artificial hair to the back of his scalp and grew long hair in the meantime. People thought he wanted to look like a woman when it was an incident and people forgot that long hair was normal with Messengers of God who were men with long hair too and it was and is normal. However, the media tried to portray such a hero in a bad way purposely. They also banned many of his short films in which he insulted homosexuality numerous times as a sin and made a mention of the three angels who came to Abraham peace and prayers of God be upon him numerous times when they told him that the people of Lot were going to be destroyed due to the crime of homosexuality. So he clearly was against that sin and said clearly he was not a homosexual in a press conference and not caring about sales coming from the homosexual community as he disowned them.

Dear friend,
It's ok I totally understand. Homework comes first! The film was great. It is called The Crow. It stars Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) God rest both their souls. I read that he was accidentally shot but after seeing this movie, I realized that the accident was set-up. The movie shows that God's Justice prevails as the hero of the film (Eric Draven) and his fiancee Shelly (Sofia Shinas) were killed by a group of criminals (Devil's Night). A year later, Eric Draven is given the power by the Angel of Death through a crow that hits the grave with its beak and brings him back to life and gives him a power to be invincible. He takes revenge on them. There are great references to Islam as being the Truth through the book by John Milton called Paradise Lost which defends the Qur'an, the mention of Edgar Alan Poe's poem and that poet also had written a poem called Al Araf which based on a Surah from the Qur'an. It truly is a great movie and its slogan is "Believe in Angels". I truly loved it! I am going to get it on DVD God Willing as soon as it is released.
I would love to accompany you to the cinema this weekend. Let me know what time we could meet.

Take care and good luck with your studies.

Sincerely,

Meriem.

4.
The title of the film is The Crow.
It's about how God's Justice prevails as the hero of the film (Eric Draven) and his fiancee Shelly (Sofia Shinas) were killed by a group of criminals (Devil's Night). A year later, Eric Draven is given the power by the Angel of Death through a crow that hits the grave with its beak and brings him back to life and gives him a power to be invincible. He takes revenge on all of them. It was produced by Jeff Most, Edward R. Pressman and Grant Hill.
It's set in Detroit, MI (Michigan).
The thing I liked best about it was the great references to Islam as being the Truth through the book by John Milton called Paradise Lost which defends the Qur'an.
I also liked the mention of Edgar Alan Poe's poem and that poet also had written a poem called Al Araf which based on a Surah from the Qur'an. It truly is a great movie and its slogan is "Believe in Angels".
The thing I didn't like is that they didn't allow the film to be in black and white according to an interview I saw where Brandon Lee said that "Hollywood" forced them to use colors in the film when they wanted it to be in black and white to emphasize the drama in the revenge.

FOLLOW UP

A Moroccan celebration: Eid Al Adha (The Day of Sacrifice)

Activities: We slay a lamb in Rememberance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) Peace and Prayers of God be upon him and how he was tested by God by being asked to slay his son to show God matters more to Him. He found his son patient and accepting of God's Will and as Abraham was getting ready to slay his son, a lamb was sent down from God and his sonn was spared. That is why Muslims in Morocco and the Muslim world slay a sheep on the day of Sacrifice to celebrate that great miracle. It actually can be a great topic for other religions when they found out how we celebrate a miracle from a Messenger of God Peace and Prayers of God be upon him and they would realize that we Muslims don't recognize Muhammad Peace and Prayers of God be upon him, but all Messengers (Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad Peace and Prayers of God be upon him).

Special Food and Drinks: In the morning, families have breakfast with Moroccan tea or coffee and milk and home-made cookies, Msemmen, fried dough (Rghayf). For lunch, of course after slaying the lamb families barbecue the meat, the liver enrolled in fat and have it with Moroccan tea again. At night for dinner, some families might cook the head with steam and a part like the shoulder in the oven.

Gifts: Families days before the holiday buy their kids new clothes for the occasion. Because it is mainly about remembering the sacrifice made by the Messenger of God Peace and Prayers of God be upon him.

Other customs: In the morning before slaying the lamb, Muslims wake up and go to a Mussalla (a masjid [mosque] without a roof in open air) and Praise and Remember God by chanting in unison Praises to God. When the Imam (preacher) comes, everyone performs the Eid Prayer and then listen to a sermon (khotba) by the preacher who reminds of the symbolism of the Day of Sacrifice and how to get closer to God through this spiritual act. Muslims are supposed to give out Zakat El Eid (giving alms to the poor at a specific amount before slaying the lamb).

Mohammedia, Morocco
February 26th, 2022

Dear Laura,

Thank you for your letter. I was glad to learn more about Halloween because as a Moroccan I love the movie "The Crow" and its events take place on Halloween. I love the fact that it's about how God's Justice prevails as the hero of the film (Eric Draven) and his fiancee Shelly (Sofia Shinas) were killed by a group of criminals (Devil's Night). A year later on Halloween exactly again, Eric Draven is given the power by the Angel of Death through a crow that hits the grave with its beak and brings him back to life and gives him a power to be invincible. He takes revenge on all of them. The thing I liked best about it was the great references to Islam as being the Truth through the book by John Milton called Paradise Lost which defends the Qur'an.

As Muslims in Morocco, we celebrate Eid Al Adha (The Day of Sacrifice) in which We slay a lamb in Rememberance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) Peace and Prayers of God be upon him and how he was tested by God by being asked to slay his son to show God matters more to Him.

I am sure you will find this celebration interesting. Please send my best wishes to your family.

Best regards,

Kamal.

FOLLOW-UP

The story goes that the monarch Shahryar, on discovering that his first wife was unfaithful to him, resolved to marry a new virgin every day and to have her beheaded the next morning before she could dishonour him. Eventually the vizier could find no more virgins of noble blood and offered his own daughter, Scheherazade, as the king's next bride.

Against her father's wishes, Scheherazade volunteered to marry the king. Once in the king's chambers, Scheherazade asked if she might bid one last farewell to her beloved younger sister, Dunyazad, who had secretly been prepared to ask Scheherazade to tell a story during the long night. The king lay awake and listened with awe as Scheherazade told her first story. The night passed by, and Scheherazade stopped in the middle. The king asked her to finish, but Scheherazade said there was no time, as dawn was breaking. So the king spared her life for one day so she could finish the story the next night. The following night Scheherazade finished the story and then began a second, more exciting tale, which she again stopped halfway through at dawn. Again, the king spared her life for one more day so that she could finish the second story.

Thus the king kept Scheherazade alive day by day, as he eagerly anticipated the conclusion of each previous night's story. At the end of 1,001 nights, and 1,000 stories, Scheherazade finally told the king that she had no more tales to tell him. During the preceding 1,001 nights, however, the king had fallen in love with Scheherazade. He wisely spared her life permanently and made her his queen.

Muhammad Ibn Abd Al-Karim al-Khattabi, better known as Abd el-Krim (1882/1883, Ajdir, Morocco – 6 February 1963, Cairo, Egypt) was a Moroccan political and military leader and the President of the Republic of the Rif. (a short-lived republic in northern Morocco that existed between 1921 and 1926. It was created in September 1921, when the people of the Rif revolted and declared their independence from Spanish occupation as well as from the Moroccan Alawite sultan, Yusef.)

He and his brother M'Hammad led a large-scale revolt by a coalition of Riffian tribes against French and Spanish colonization of the Rif, in Morocco. His guerrilla tactics, which included the first-ever use of tunneling as a technique of modern warfare, directly influenced Ho Chi Minh, Mao Zedong and Che Guevara.

Abd el-Krim received a customary formative education at a local school in Ajdir and subsequently attended an institute at Tetouan. At the age of 20, he studied for two years in Fez at the Al Attarine and Saffarin madrasas and subsequently enrolled as a student at the University of al-Qarawiyyin, the world's oldest institution of higher education. Both Muhammad and his brother M'Hammad received a Spanish education, the latter studying mine engineering in Málaga and Madrid. Both spoke fluent Spanish and Riffian.

Following his studies, Abd el-Krim worked in Melilla (a Spanish enclave from 1494 to the present day) as a teacher and translator for the OCTAI, the Spanish 'native affairs' office, and as a journalist for the Spanish newspaper Telegrama del Rif (1906–1915). In 1907, he was hired to edit and write articles in Arabic for El Telegrama del Rif, a daily newspaper in Melilla, where he defended the advantages of European—especially Spanish—civilization and technology and their potential to elevate the economic and cultural level of the Moroccan population. In 1910, Abd el-Krim took a position as secretary-interpreter in the Native Affairs Office in Melilla, which brought him into close contact with the Spanish military bureaucracy and the town's civil society and gained a reputation for intelligence, efficiency and discretion.

c. True (Article 7, right to equality before the law.)
d. True (Article 15, right to a nationality and the freedom to change it.)

FOLLOW UP:

Concerning the rights Article 3 which is about right to life, liberty and personal security. Moreover, I cite Article 25 which is about the right to adequate living standards. Moreover, Article 24 which is about the right to rest and leisure.
As for the examples in our area. Article 3 is seen here where parents let their kids play in dangerous areas without monitoring them in the streets, as those kids pick up bad behaviour and language. Another example is when we see kids being abused by their parents who take their anger out on them for no specific reason just because they are upset.
For Article 25, this is seen when some clinics show no care for women when they go into labor. We hear examples of women who had C-sections but when stitched back, a towel was found in a woman's womb. This is also shown when lethal and bad vaccines are given to children in a mandatory manner that destroys their health. An example of Article 18 being violated is when we see parents putting the burden of education on schools alone without any follow-ups. The molding of the core values starts with the mother and father at home. It is not respected when we see schools for example that mix students with disabilities with those with no disabilities which constitutes a huge challenge for the disabled children.
Also, this is evident when we see the health care system forcing vaccines on kids who were healthy before the vaccine and are now sick with autism for instance, which tortures the child and his family and all those surrounding him. This is closely related to the previous issue about disabled children and this constitutes the cause for the calamity. We also see a lack of cultural activities that would motivate children to learn more, educational yet fun activities that create consciousness and awareness in their minds. The schools for instance focus just on teaching languages and content without content that motivates and lets them see what is truly going on in the world and the source of the calamities and what the Creator warned us about. Finally, we can see drug and alcohol salespoints around schools getting kids addicted to drugs from a very early age.
The cultural sessions I mentioned create awareness which cover this aspect too as Michael Jackson God rest his soul tackled this subject in his short film "Smooth Criminal" where he finds out how an agency in the United Nation itself promotes such acts for their own mischievous plans and he was chased throughout the movie but God everytime sends angels to save him from their conspiracies and he ends up winning and saving these kids who were praying at school and this bothered the UN representative as he wanted prayers to Allah to be replaced with drug taking for his own benefit.
Michael Jackson eventually got assassinated in dark circumstances and the evidence all point to the fact that he was killed by people "higher than the American government itself" in his final call to his then manager which is all over YouTube. The Truth Thank God is surfacing and God Willing it shall set the world free from this cancer and cure it for once and for all God Willing. This is the solution in my opinion, to focus on creating this awareness and dismantle this hypnosis taking place in the world. In turn, parents and everyone in society should be aware of this Truth and work all together towards a sure path to a better future blessed by the Almighty God, God Willing.

To sum it up: All kids must be treated exactly the same, no matter how different they are!

Dear Mr. President,
I read in the news that Children are forced to work long hours in carpet factories for little money; they cannot go to school. In this extract, there are violations of 2 UDHR articles. Article 4: Freedom from Slavery and Article 26: Right to Education
You should encourage the government to create laws that forbid hiring children and using them in that manner. In schools too, teachers and educators should find ways that encourage students to study and motivate them intrinsically in a manner that they would feel that studying is a noble holy mission that we should abide by.
In this regard, I feel that schools should coordinate cultural sessions that create awareness as Michael Jackson God rest his soul tackled this subject in his short film "Smooth Criminal" where he finds out how an agency in the United Nation itself promotes such acts for their own mischievous plans and he was chased throughout the movie but God everytime sends angels to save him from their conspiracies and he ends up winning and saving these kids who were praying at school and this bothered the UN representative as he wanted prayers to Allah to be replaced with drug taking for his own benefit.

I hope that this letter shows how important your involvement is needed although you can see how other organisms could be poisoning the world whereas you can make a change within the United Nation organization as we have the good and bad in every organism.

Yours sincerely,

April 20th, ....

Dear Nadia,

Previously, I told you about my favourite pastime. Today, I will tell you about my home-town as you wished in your LAST letter.
Well, Menton is situated at the eastern coast of France, with an approximate population of 30.000. It is an ideal destination for tourists from all over THE world, and that is due to several reasons.
To start with, the landscape is beautiful. Wonderiul high trees cover a large area of the town apart from some evergreen gardens WHICH embellish the town center. Besides, the weather is superb the whole year; it is neither hot NOR cold. Moreover, there are a lot of places worth SEEING such as the Roman Church, the museum and the Royal Avenue. All these factors make of Menton a perfect place to spend quiet and enjoyable holidays.
What about your hometown or city ? Are there nice places to see ? What about the weather ? the people ? And so on.
BYE for now,
Julien.

2.
a. ... from Morocco.
b. Menton.

Dear Julien

I was delighted to read your letter and learn about the city of Menton, I have never been to France and only see it on TV but your description made me more enthusiastic about visiting your city.
I will talk to you about my hometown of Mohammedia. It is a city on the coast near Casablanca which I'm sure you've heard of because of the famous american movie Casablanca.
Mohammedia is also known for its park, they call the city "the city of flowers" as well as a place in its outskirts called "Dream Village" which has a zoo and a swimming pool with huge slides without forgetting the beautiful mountains surrounding that village. Another great thing about Mohammedia is it is close to the capital of Rabat and the highway which would take you easily too internationally famous cities like Ouerzazate where the famous movie The Last Temptation of Christ peace and prayers of God be upon him which was partly shot in addition to other places in Morocco like Volubilis, Oumnast, Kasbat Ait Benhaddou, and Demnate. This movie was also supported by Michael Jackson God rest his soul who financed the movie and supported it in the his short film BAD in which Michael Jackson defends the film and doesn't call it sacrilegous. It carries dangerous messages about Jesus foretelling the arrival of the final messenger Muhammad peace and prayers of Allah be upon both of them.
I mentioned other places too because maybe you will want to visit those place more than my city because of their fame internationally.
I hope you visit Morocco soon God Willing.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

With my best wishes,
Nadia.
